Camp Create, an adult artist retreat, will be hosted by LifeScape Center for the Arts March 27-29 at Joy Ranch in Florence, SD. Camp Create is two night sleep-away artist retreat designed for adults with disabilities to explore visual arts. Participants will create individualized, take-home art pieces using professional grade materials. Artists will participate in guided art sessions and will produce several finished pieces by the end of the retreat. In addition to the art sessions, the artists will participate in leisure-time activities as part of the “camp” experience. The retreat will conclude with a lunch provided for family, friends, and/or staff, with all of the artwork displayed. A formal gallery showing with at least one piece represented from each person who participates will take place on April 5 from 6-8 PM at the Museum of Visual Material as part of the Downtown Sioux Falls’ First  Friday event.
