The Creative Care team had the opportunity to help out at Camp Create again this year! Hosted by LifeScape Center for the Arts, Camp Create is an adult artist retreat held at Joy Ranch in Florence, SD. The featured artist was Creative Care's own Ari Albright. She, along with a team from LifeScape and Creative Care, led art sessions throughout the three days. This camp was open to adults supported by LifeScape as well as other adults with disabilities within the community.

The camp lasted from August 25th through August 27th, and during their stay, participants created pour paintings and self portraits using professional grade materials. Between the guided art sessions, campers participated in other fun activities such as horseback riding, a pontoon ride, karaoke, and much more! The camp concluded with a meal and an art show for families, friends, and staff. A more formal gallery show is being planned for the fall.
